Not Sure?

After reading the page 'In The Beginning', perhaps you are not sure if you are truly saved. Maybe you are someone who even attends a church every Sunday, and yet you may still have doubt. We have a very real spiritual enemy on this earth who will do all he can make people doubt their own salvation. Perhaps, you have never claimed God's free gift at all.

My dear visitor, have you ever heard this question: "If you were to die today, would you go to Heaven?" What would your answer be? Would it be something similar to one of the following answers? "I don't know." Or, "I think so." Or, "I believe I would. After all, I go to church every week." Or, "I'm a good person, so I think I will." If you can not say: "Yes, absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt I would!" -- then perhaps, you are not sure. Here is what the Lord has to say about it...

Jesus Says,

"YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN"

People say that to get to Heaven, you must do the best you can. But Jesus says,

"Ye must be born again." (John 3:7)
People say that to get to get to Heaven, you just have to live up to the 'Golden Rule'. But Jesus says,
"Ye must be born again."

Some people say that if your good works out-weigh your sins, then God will just have to accept you. But Jesus says, "Ye must be born again."

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

People say that belonging to a church will get them to Heaven. But Jesus says,

"Ye must be born again."

Church people say that to get to Heaven when you physically die, you must partake of the ordinances and sacraments of their church. But Jesus says,

"Ye must be born again."

Some people may even think that being a lodge member will get them safely into Heaven. But the word of God says,

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
(Luke 13:3)

So we see that people will say that are many "ways" to Heaven: being a good person, being a member of a church or another organization, or the partaking of sacraments. Do you know that having been baptized will not take you Heaven? Believing in a pastor or a priest are not enough either. In fact, "religion" is not the way to Heaven at all. Our Saviour tells us clearly that He is the Only Way to Heaven:

"...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
(John 14:6)

Our true assurance of being in Heaven with God is our faith and our acceptance of His gracious gift -- the sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. It is placing our faith in Christ and in the blood He shed for us on the cross, which changes our hearts and makes us new creatures. When we trust in Him we will never be ashamed, nor led astray by a false hope. Any other "way to Heaven" that someone places their trust in is nothing more than a refuge of lies, a delusion of the father of lies (Satan), and a false hope that will only lead to Hell.

Dear friend, if you want to be sure that you are saved and that Heaven will be your home, speak this prayer (or one similar), and Mean It With All Your Heart!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to You now in the name of Your precious Son, my Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus. I admit that I am a sinner going to Hell. I know that I cannot save myself. I repent of my sins and put my faith in the blood that You, Lord Jesus, shed for me on the cross to pay for all my sins. I now accept You Lord Jesus as my Saviour and trust You to take me to Heaven. Thank You for saving me, my precious Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.
Amen.

Now, Be Sure to Tell Someone! Not because you have to -- but because you will want to! You are saved and will go to Heaven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and let no demon this side of Hell tell you otherwise!! You have God's word on it...

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
(John 5:24)

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."
(John 10:27-29)
